The woods are lovely dark and deep.. I debated with myself if I should use a loose style or the controlled one I've used in this and decided I needed it to be controlled. I feel keeping it tight and controlled has enabled me to capture the brooding atmosphere I saw in this picture. But I'll try it out again with a loose style and see what happens. That's one of the best things I enjoy about painting, the practically unending variations of styles.
