I loved doing this one, though I did struggle a little getting the perspective right.. not sure it's perfect even now, but doesn't look as odd as it did when I first laid on the paint. Once I realised I had gotten the perspective awry, I had to wipe out the first coat and do it all over again - major headache - and also forced me to work with impasto earlier than I had planned. Anyway, this has helped me to get back in some touch. Feeling rather satisfied with myself.. calls for a glass of wine as red as the flowers, to celebrate :) - One thing is for sure, I feel confident enough now to attempt bigger canvases than this 18*24. I like doing landscapes and abstracts on large canvases.
